hi! i'm henry, a born-and-raised countryside brazilian self-taught digital artist. my work focuses mainly on anthropomorphic animals (read: furries) because of this internet subculture i stumbled upon by pure chance as a kid. the biggest influence on my art style is definitely comics, which have been my favorite form of media for a long time. these artists include: kiyohiko azuma, yoshiharu tsuge, hergé, mike mignola, blutch and many others. i'm still very passionate about comics and intend on eventually working on my own. i am also very interested in philosophy, art history and psychology, which also serve as indirect inspiration for my drawings. i deeply believe that art, just like every other area of human knowledge, is a fundamentally collective phenomena, and i constantly daydream about a more integrated art community, where collaborative projects are the norm and we can form an actual support network among artists. i've been in and out of university majors for the past year, and freelance illustration is currently my only form of income.
